You're welcome

when the days drag on and the nights are long.
and you want to give up , be strong.
hold on.

when the light seems dark and you feel like you're losing insight.
please don't give up.
hold on and fight.

If you can no longer laugh and your mind is fragile.
just try to force a little smile.

look within yourself and the help is there.
ask your angels for healing
they will hear you're cries and will help because they care.

just whisper please angels come into my life.
guide me and heal me with your healing light.

close your eyes and clear your mind and feel their love building up inside.

inside your heart may start to feel warm.
the coldness fading, clearing the break of the storm.

tell them what your problems are
they will hear your cries no distance is too far.

for they stand beside you every day
and they will send you signs in many ways.

in the way your heart just fills with love.

in the sun and the stars and the birds above.

in nature and animals and a babies smiling face.

they will send you signs all over the place.

they will send you white feathers that from nowhere fall right in front of you.

I'm praying to my angels to send healing for you too.

so when life is too hard and you don't want to go on.
please remember you are loved.

the sun here is shining just for you
I hope it's also shining in heaven too
cuz born in Jamaica you loved the sun
always out doing your gardening with your tipple of rum.

strawberries were your best thing to grow.
but they always disappeared but to where you didn't know.
so now grandad Id like to confess
it was I who ate them as they simply were the best.

I remember your big smile and your funny dance
and the way you could stop your grandkids bad behaviour with a certain glance.

so sweet and caring with a heart full of love
today I feel that love sent down from above.
as I wish you grandad a happy birthday
gone but not forgotten in any way.

I will never forget you
your memory I will keep
until we meet again some day xx

All she ever wanted is drifting away
Like a bubble so light
Caught in the wind blowing til it's out of sight.

Not seeing what's right before his eyes.
He's guarded, protected but he doesn't realise.

That this girl isn't the best
But her heart is for real

Her heart thinks one way but her head the other

She can't get them to agree

All she sees is that they would be good together

She tries to ignore she tries to pretend

That it's nothing at all. Just a crush on a friend.

So she puts her feelings aside

Wishes them away

As life goes on

And she lives out her days.

Sometimes she looks back and thinks of he . Thinking what ifs? and how different things could be

She whispers his name, smiles at his memory

And wonders if he too ever thinks of she.

I have just read them all, and they are fab, but this one touches my heart

have you ever loved and lost

a love so strong

that you feel like you just can not go on


have you ever cried so much that the tears run dry

and there's nothing left to fall from your eyes


a heart that hurts and is broken in two

your brain asking why, wondering what wrong did you do?



no light in your eyes

and no joy in your days

and the pain cuts like a knife

when you wake and remember your love has gone away



you don't wanna eat and you just cannot sleep

all you have now are memories to keep



but the memories leave you tossing and turning each night

and leave you wishing you could go back in time,

to stop that fight

to make things right



to have your love back in your arms

to feel warm and safe with a content heart

you ask yourself what is the harm

in reminiscing and pretending you were never apart



have u ever lost someone loved

and prayed to the above

to send them the words you wish you could say

to say sorry , to ask them to take away your pain

to help you become stronger with each coming day.



it aches, it hurts and its really not nice

but please try to remember this advice



every love lost is a lesson,

from each one lost we all learn

what we want and what we dont want

we see where we went wrong

where we took a wrong turn



and we see our own mistakes

allowing us to work on them

we learn to raise our standards

so we may not make the same mistakes again



our tears will dry and our hearts will mend

and when we are ready a new love will come



dont wait for it, dont look for it

just live your life

and one day your guardian angel

may just send u a new love as a surprise.

tonight I am sad because earlier this evening my daughter experienced racism.

she is mixed race and like most black people she has darker skin on her knees and elbows.

today we went shopping and she bought a nice skirt and a belly top. she took a picture and posted in on her instagram.

anyway some girls from her school posted some horrible messages, basically saying that she shouldn't wear that , that she cant show so much skin as her skin is dirty and black on her elbows and legs, that she needs to get off social media and go take a bath.
I am so angry, but instead of getting into trouble by cussing out some 14 year olds, I converted my energy into some inspiration for this poem that I just wrote.







i do not like this skin im in
i get called names as if its a sin
to have this darker coloured skin

at school you laugh and call me names
that really hurts and leaves me feeling ashamed
don't you know that under our skins we are all the same?

my mum found me scrubbing with lemon juice
to lighten my skin , to fit in with you
to be the colour you want me to be
to be accepted and treated nicely

why cant you accept me for who i am?
why does colour matter? i don't understand
our bodies are the same no matter what colour
why cant we all just get along with each other?

why judge someone by what you see?
just because i am of different race
does not mean i am your enemy
i deserve to belong here too, i have a place

this world is not defined by our skin
its defined by who we are within

the world needs love not hate and shame
there's too much discrimination, too much blame
you could still try to like me
even though my colour isn't the same.

my mum told me to not lighten my skin
to love me for me
the beautiful girl she sees
not try to fit in
or be like anyone else
for i am strong i am loved
that i must love myself.
