It's annoying when this happens grr
I have noticed over the past couple of months that if you spend longer than 25 minutes writing a post it tends to fail to submit and we have to start over again
In future you're more than welcome to break the post down (post it in chunks) it might help you. Dragon's posts are a good example, dragon does 3 in 1 to prevent the page deleting everything that's been posted so far.. so sorry!

Good idea at Not previewing, as you can always Edit your Post if needed.
Too, if you have Notepad App or similar, you can first type out everything and save that, then just copy / paste into your Posting field.
Breaking lengthy Posts too, into smaller Posts, is ideal as well, as it is easier to read in shorter segments.
