Do any of you have any stories or experiences to share on your intuition saving the day??
I can think of a few and will add them soon. Can be anything big or small.

There was one time I was talking to a friend and she asked me for a reading, to be open and honest. Throughout the whole thing I kept seeing a fire in an oven and I hated the idea of being one of those readers who instils fear in people, you know?
So I didn't share it at first, I waited a little bit longer until I could make sense of it. Other readers will relate that sometimes if our mind is not clear before we read, we can become distracted. This was about 7 years ago

I eventually told my friend I could see an oven on fire and could smell burning, she said OMG I have to go, and that was it. She was at her friend Diana's using her wifi and she raced back home, to find she had left her oven on with the cookies she baked earlier and it was bellowing out smoke. She thanked me since but I was so glad I listened to it and was able to pass it on...

Another time I was on the motorway, it was very busy fast paced and full of careless drivers rushing without a care. I had my window open and I heard ''shut it right now''.... I listened, shut the window and just as I did, a massive rock smashed into it. At the speed the rock was going, and the car, it would have seriously injured me. It smashed the window but thankfully I wasn't hurt....

    My mother
I was sleeping early on st patricks night about two years ago, or maybe it was three .. time flies. I woke up this evening and was full of panic, a flash image of my mother came to mind and I felt a real sense of urgency. I knew something was wrong so I went around there as fast as I could to check on her.. When I opened the door I walked in to her kitchen to see her slumped over the kitchen table, her tongue out and eyes staring right ahead. I shook her and squeezed her shoulder and had no response, so I checked for breathing and saw she was not breathing........ I called for an ambulance and they instructed me to resuscitate her. It was horrific, they were asking me if she was still warm. She was not breathing, but thankfully still warm so it must have been around one minute before I had gotten there. I was instructed to get her on the floor flat on her back, and to begin chest compressions. She had such a weak pulse I couldn't feel it, the ambulance arrived with the CPR machines and she took a deep breath in and woke up just before they were about to shock her... had I not gotten there, i'd have had no mother today.. we were all grateful I woke up early that night and i'm grateful for whoever was warning me

    Accommodation

I was offered temporary accommodation in this huge three storey building. It wasn't the nicest place, but it was convenient at the time. A roof is a roof.. I was grateful as I was told I would be there for around three weeks. Thinking to myself it was bearable, I went ahead, moved everything in and I set down to make a coffee and sat in the lounge. I had horrible visions whilst I was in that place, I mean towns are generally not safe anymore at night, and you do always have one person who wants to cause trouble neighbour wise. Telling myself it was only 20 days left here.. I continued to have visions of fighting and sirens and shouting, and I felt sick to my stomach. I tried to sleep and I couldn't.. C (niece) was with me and couldn't sleep either. I asked her what was wrong and she told me she had bad vibes. With her being young, I never shared what I had felt, but she said she wanted to stay somewhere else. It wasn't that bad, the place was tidy and had lots of space and everything we needed, all home comforts I made it nice for them. So...the next morning after having one hour or so sleep, I knew, in my heart that I had to get us out of there. The owners were not happy because I had breached the minimum stay terms, but I had to get us out. I packed everything and we left after just 24 hours. Sure enough, a few days after we left there was a stabbing in this exact place I / we were staying. In the actual building....

We got out safe, and we both knew something was brewing. I'm so so glad we listened this time too. I dread to think if we were still there as that happened.

    Medical Intuition ....

I'm no doctor and I just want to share this to help some of you. A lot of the time doctors can be very dismissive.. I know of a handful of people who have known something was wrong but were told they were being anxious and over thinking. I have so much respect for the NHS and our medics/nurses/volunteers/hca's and students. I really do as they have done so much for me/family/friends and everyone in general. We are lucky.. though I want to share this.....

I'll shorten it... but mum had a cardiologist appointment. I had known for months something was wrong, she had a cough that her doctor had put down to smoking for so many years and they had tested her for COPD and emphysema ... she had been complaining of this for a long time and was given patches told to stop smoking and the rest. I agreed it was a good idea as this cough had been around for 3-4 years.
She went to the cardiologist this day and he immediately commented that all her problems were because she was not getting enough exercise. He was quite rude about it too, giving her this criticism with such a nasty judgemental tone. I tried to speak to him about my concerns but he told me I was not the patient , and all of that fun stuff.

Mum knew something was wrong for months but once the doctor left the room she looked at me full of shame and said she had to go on a diet ... I told mum that she need not worry, I knew something was off too. I told the cardiologist that we were leaving and wanted nothing more to do with him for being nasty.. and I went and spoke to the matron, asking her for a second opinion. She pulled up the doctor and made him apologize which he did, shook mum's hand, and then we went over everything again, showing him her heart traces. He looked at it this time and said ''oh wait, you are right, this shows some ischemic changes... so.... from there, I told him we wanted more tests done to find out what it was. Mum was sent for them with no problem and they discovered she had two non-cancerous tumours in her lungs. She had them for years and they were starting to cause troubles. Plus they later found out she has a problem with the electrical signals and she's on meds for life.

Don't give up and push for a doctor/specialist who will listen to you. YOu have the best intuition for yourself than anyone else, and you know your body better than anyone..... it's ok to ask for second opinions and it's ok to challenge doctors. They are mostly great and they have researched and studied a lot but don't let anybody ignore what you are saying, .... you know yourself.
