Thank you for sharing this. It’s an important reminder that we are not as powerless as we feel.. it all starts in our own homes

first, then we can expand and help in other ways 100%

Feeding the birds in our back yards and encouraging bees and butterflies to our gardens by planting bee- friendly flowers and wild flowers makes sure they have more than enough food. We are losing common birds, butterflies and bees and they are important too .

In winter , birds need high fat content foods like nuts to stay warm during cold weather. Nuts and seeds and fat-balls are good for them

Beach cleans are really good and most cities/ towns (coastal) will ask for volunteers year round to help clean litter from the beach. Google your area to find local groups. You can also find local tree planting groups to volunteer planting in public gardens / spaces
