what a mess ive made of things

Today I am very down and upset and feeling very very stupid.

my best friend asked me if I wanted to go on holiday with her and her kids next week, she cant afford to go but if we share a chalet then its affordable cus we pay half each.

so I agreed and we told the kids and everyone is excited.

In my bank I had enough to buy my daughters school uniform and about half I needed to put towards the holiday cost and some food shopping money for the week,so I decided to apply for a small short term loan.

long story cut short, the company scammed me and I was stupid and fell for it and paid the fee they were asking for before sending me my loan.

they kept taking money out of my bank without me knowing and ive just logged on there now to find 20 fcking pence left in my account.

ive been on the phone to the bank and they have opened a investigation which is gonna take a couple of weeks and hopefully then I may get my money back.

so ive had to let my friend know, shes upset.

cus now they cant on holiday.

ive also let my own daughter down cus she too cant go on holiday and neither do we have any food and I cant buy her school uniform.

seriously how stupid can one get :(

Have you family who can maybe lend you some cash for food and your daughters school uniform?

can rectify the situation get all your money back. That was nice of you
also to want help your friend . We all get scammed at one time or another. Maybe you have an agency you can file a complaint against them also.

First, don't feel guilty, it happens, it's not your fault

I'm not sure who you bank with but I recommend Halifax as if this were to happen and you were with them, they would give you your money back instantly *before/whilst they started the investigation

Ahm.. I know they do budgeting loans but I also knw they take about 5 weeks to process. Is there any way you could take back the uniform and tomorrow call for a budgeting loan form?

I would call back the bank and explain your situation. The money the company has taken should be able to be refunded i'm sure, unless it's been a while (say, days)

The local food bank I would encourage you to get a voucher from them whilst you try and sort this too, they will be able to help you for three days at a time and your GP will be able to give a referral, or you could contact the local adult social services centre for a referral, they just take your name and then when you go to the foodbank they will ask your name and see who referred you
It's not very nice I know and probably seems humiliating but it happens , so many times life will throw unexpected things out of the blue, you didn't see it coming

Where is this loan place, that sounds terrible.. makes me angry

thank you both, the bank wont give it back til its been investigated, and part of the money taken was for uniform , I hadn't bought it yet so cant take it back.

im already paying back a budgeting loan but im gonna get a food bank voucher yes, ill check out that link, thank you x
